Kindergarten Roundup
We are so excited for your family to begin the Kindergarten journey at Eudora Schools! We appreciate the time and effort to help your Kindergartner get off to a great start in their educational career.
The Eudora School District adheres to Kansas State Law 72-3118 regarding the minimum age for entrance to school. There are no exceptions and no testing for early admission. Any child who resides within the Eudora Schools boundaries and will attain the age of five years on or before August 31 of that school year shall be eligible to attend kindergarten. Any child who will attain the age of six years on or before August 31 of that school year shall be eligible to attend first grade.
This year's Kindergarten Roundup is on April 4th and 5th.
Prior to April 4th and 5th
- Complete the online application process by visiting the PowerSchool Application Page (you must create an account in order to complete the application process). Please keep in mind this is only the application information. You will still need to complete the annual online enrollment process when the window opens in July. To attend Kindergarten Roundup on April 4th or 5th, please make an appointment for a one hour time slot with the link that is provided to you at the end of the application form.
If you need technical assistance with the pre-enrollment process, please e-mail the enrollment team at enroll@eudoraschools.org or call 785-542-4902. The enrollment team's office hours are 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
- Please collect the following documentation to bring with you to your appointment.
- STATE Certified Birth Certificate. To order a new copy of your child's birth certificate (Kansas births only), visit the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Birth Certificate page.
- New Student Health Assessment and immunization records. Proof of up-to-date immunization must be on record at the school before a student is allowed to attend. Students new to a Kansas school also must complete a physical health assessment with a medical doctor.
- Residence verification. In order to verify district residence, parents or guardians must provide a document showing Eudora residency.
On Thursday, April 4th, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM or Friday, April 5th, 8:15 AM - 2:30 PM
- Bring your future kindergartner at least ten minutes before your specified Roundup time.
- Parents/guardians will need to bring the following paperwork to your appointment slot. While the student is being screened, copies will be made for the USD 491 records.
- State Certified Birth Certificate
- New Student Health Assessment form
- Current Immunization Records
- Proof of Residency.
After July 4th
- Watch for the annual online registration to open in July.
- You may pay district fees.
- You may add lunch money to your student's account.
- You may fill out a free/reduced application (this is optional, but may help with other fees).
