SOAR

Eudora Elementary School is committed to supporting each student’s academic, social, and behavioral growth. The SOAR program helps students develop positive behavior skills through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), an evidence-based framework used nationwide. SOAR has been part of Eudora Schools since 2010.

All EES students are taught these positive behaviors:

  1. Raise your hand for permission to speak.
  2. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
  3. Listen and follow directions.
  4. Walk quietly throughout the school.

Key Terms

Soar - Eudora Schools' program is designed to create a community in each school that is Safe, Outstanding, Accountable, and Respectful.

Major - Majors are disciplinary issues that require an office referral. For example: hitting, cheating, bullying, etc. 

Minor - Minors are disciplinary issues that are handled in the classroom. For example: tardy, inappropriate language, disrespect, etc. 

Soar Card - Students meeting behavior expectations will receive a point on their flight tracker, which can be used to enter a prize drawing.
